Brand identity created for Farm & Fancy in Alford, Scotland, is a unique two-level shop. The top level features antiques, while the ground floor offers farm food, gifts, decor and more. Specialising in free-range farm food, and locally Scottish made products. The shop aims to immerse customers in the world of local producers by showcasing the authentic story behind each product.
During the development we explored the idea of incorporating colours inspired by a local landmark and to infuse a Scottish touch, all while steering clear of typical Scottish colour schemes and patterns. The pink inspired by Craigievar Castle, distinguished by its unique pink exterior. Complemented by a soft purple hue from the Scottish Thistles and Sea Holly.
The submark logo serve as an alternative to the primary logo, enhancing the brand’s versatility.
It’s particularly useful in situations where the primary logo’s intricate design may not be suitable.
The graphic elements evoke old-world charm and establish a sense of tradition, while also hinting at a playful and fun side inspired by the oval shape of a farm egg and humanised farm characters.
This combination perfectly encapsulates the characteristics and offerings of the brand and brand name.
