I’m Imogen, the founder of Ima Studio

I have always had a passion for visual art and design, and after graduating with a BA honours degree in graphic design and visual communication, I delved into the industry, gaining experience with international companies to expand my expertise. This then led me to an award-winning London design agency, where I advanced my skills even further.

My journey took me on a path of travel, leading me to South Africa, where I worked as a graphic designer and art director in the vibrant city of Cape Town, eventually establishing my own design studio in 2006.

After living in Cape Town for over 15 years, I felt the pull to return to my roots, this time taking my business to the UK, and I’m loving being home, although I’ll always miss the Southern Hemisphere sun!
Thanks to the flexibility of working from my studio and remotely, I can collaborate with clients from all over the world.

Throughout my career, I’ve developed a strong passion for branding and packaging design. I love helping businesses communicate their unique story through visual design. As a graphic designer, I’m always looking for ways to infuse my work with personal touches, and using hand-drawn elements has definitely become one of my favourites.
